Anduril Industries is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to join the Battlespace Awareness Command and Control Software team in Waltham, MA (or Broomfield, CO). This role bridges system design, requirements management, modeling and simulation, and verification & validation activities for advanced command and control (C2) products.
You will support the design, development, and validation of sophisticated algorithmic capabilities including tracking, sensor/effector management, battlespace optimization, and threat forecasting. Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and implement modeling and simulation frameworks to validate algorithmic performance and test system capabilities under various scenarios
• Lead requirements decomposition across cross-functional teams, defining success in the face of ambiguity
• Scope ideal system configurations, scrutinize system performance, and ensure deployed systems meet customer requirements
• Own systems end-to-end, identifying and solving problems across technical boundaries
• Develop test plans, acceptance criteria, and analysis tools to evaluate system performance using simulation and field data
• Use data-driven analysis to verify customer requirements and create artifacts to trace performance evolution
• Integrate emerging capabilities into new products and system configurations
• Communicate complex technical findings clearly to developers, system leads, and customers
The Battlespace Awareness team develops tactical sense-and-decision-making software that works across various compute hardware, sensor/effector hardware, and supporting software services. Success requires understanding complex system nuances and ensuring technical success of end-to-end solutions.
Required qualifications: 12+ years of hardware and software systems engineering experience with a degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Mathematics, or related field. Demonstrated expertise in model-based systems engineering (JAMA, Cameo, Matlab, Simulink, AFSIM), Python programming for data analysis and visualization, statistics, AI/ML, requirements management, testing, and MBSE. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to communicate technical complexity.
