Anduril Industries is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to join the Battlespace Awareness Command and Control Software team in Broomfield, Colorado. This role is central to developing tactical sense-and-decision-making software that powers Anduril's command and control (C2) products, which integrate advanced algorithms, sensor/effector hardware, and supporting software services into cohesive, mission-critical systems.
You will own the design, development, and validation of sophisticated algorithmic capabilities including tracking, sensor/effector management, battlespace optimization, and threat forecasting. Your responsibilities span the full systems engineering lifecycle: requirements decomposition across cross-functional teams, modeling and simulation (M&S), verification and validation (V&V), and field data analysis. You will develop and implement sophisticated modeling and simulation frameworks to validate algorithmic performance under various scenarios, providing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include leading requirements decomposition in the face of ambiguity, scoping ideal system configurations, scrutinizing system performance against customer requirements, and owning end-to-end systems with the ability to identify and solve problems across organizational boundaries. You will create test plans, acceptance criteria, and analysis tools to evaluate system performance using both simulation and collected field data. You will develop artifacts to trace performance as the system evolves and communicate complex technical findings clearly to developers, system leads, and customers.
Required qualifications include 12+ years of hardware and software systems engineering experience with a degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Mathematics, or related field. You must demonstrate proficiency with model-based systems engineering tools (JAMA, Cameo, Matlab, Simulink, AFSIM), programming languages such as Python for data parsing and analysis, and strong skills in statistics, AI/ML, requirements management, testing, and MBSE. Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams and communicating technical findings to diverse audiences is essential.
