Relativity Space is building the Terran R rocket to deliver payloads to orbit and advance commercial spaceflight. The Integrated Performance and Integrated Analysis teams own the structural integrity, durability, and life management of flight hardware across the vehicle.
As Structural Analysis Engineering Lead, you will provide technical leadership for structural integrity, strength, durability, and life management of flight hardware. You will define and execute structural analysis strategies spanning static strength, fatigue and damage tolerance, fracture mechanics, and structural dynamics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee a team of structural analysts while maintaining direct technical contribution
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to structural analysts and engineers
- Guide development, verification, and certification of primary and secondary structures from early design through flight operations
- Work closely with design, materials, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure structurally robust designs
- Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and reusability requirements
- Lead integration of fatigue, fracture, durability, and inspection considerations early in design and throughout vehicle maturation
- Drive structural analysis strategies and tools across the launch system
- Engage hands-on with hardware, testing, and operations with authority to lead programmatic change
You will collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. This is an opportunity to work on a tangible, momentum-building rocket program where technical rigor and creativity go hand in hand.
