Salary: USD 191,000 - 253,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Manufacturing Test organization to develop and maintain test executive software that ensures quality across land, sea, and air defense systems. You will lead a software development team responsible for building automation frameworks, data acquisition systems, and analytics tools that improve the development cycle and reduce operator complexity.
Key responsibilities include developing applications for Windows and Linux desktop environments, integrating cloud data and deployment features with proper authentication and security, generating Python automation scripts for debug and prototype development, triaging issues and coordinating root cause analysis, and partnering with end-users to translate requirements into features while balancing UX with engineering constraints.
You will champion automation initiatives, work on complex multiplatform problems with heavy reliance on cloud data systems, and think creatively about improving automation methods, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics. The role involves coaching and mentoring team members while working strategically with business partners on key strategic goals.
Required qualifications include a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience; 10+ years of relevant software development experience; 2+ years leading and/or managing a software engineering team; expertise in Python; experience with low-level code, device libraries, and drivers; CI/CD and DevOps automation experience; multi-disciplinary project collaboration; automated testing expertise; git proficiency; and eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include 12+ years of industry experience, manufacturing or industrial software background, knowledge of device communication protocols (USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet), WPF and C# expertise, embedded systems experience, RESTful services in AWS/Azure, relational database and NoSQL knowledge, and test automation or cloud deployment tool experience.
