Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, computer vision, and networking. The Connected Warfare division's Mission Command team builds and deploys mission-critical software and hardware, including Lattice OS (an AI-powered operating system for real-time command and control) and systems like Lattice Mesh and Joint All Domain Command & Control. As a Software Engineer on the Mission Command team, you will own end-to-end software solutions spanning core mesh platforms, data interfaces, and release management deployed directly to military customers. You'll work on novel problems across networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and distributed data layers—building resilient, machine-speed decision-making platforms for contested, disconnected environments. Key responsibilities include: architecting and delivering well-engineered systems using modern practices (code reviews, scalability, reliability, testability); driving software solutions end-to-end while translating complex customer needs into features; collaborating across teams on cross-functional functionality; ensuring system health through monitoring, production issue triage, and root-cause analysis; and traveling 10–30% to meet customers globally, understand operational conditions, and deploy capabilities in the field. Required: NATO or higher security clearance (current or eligible); strong engineering background (CS, Software Engineering, Networking, Mathematics, Physics); 3–10+ years with multiple programming languages (Go, Rust, C++, Java, Python); experience building data-intensive software solutions; ability to navigate complex systems and codebases; commitment to mission-critical impact. Preferred: distributed systems design experience; proven ability to deliver at pace in startup/high-growth environments; deep networking expertise for non-standard conditions; cloud platform familiarity (AWS, Azure); comprehensive understanding of computer and network architecture; professional SDLC experience (version control, CI/CD); monitoring, logging, and data management expertise.
