You'll join as a hands-on Security Engineer responsible for building and directing the security foundation across product and infrastructure. This is a technical leadership role where you'll set direction, contribute code, and mentor the growing security team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning security architecture and roadmap across product and cloud environments, conducting threat modeling to prioritize efforts
- Elevating application security practices: securing the SDLC, establishing code-review guardrails, managing dependencies and secrets, implementing pre-production testing
- Driving cloud security initiatives: IAM and least-privilege access, account structure, network boundaries, data-access controls
- Leading incident response with on-call rotation participation and senior responder duties
- Mentoring and shaping the security team and operational processes
You'll need 10+ years in security engineering with deep expertise in at least two of: application security, cloud/infrastructure security, and incident response, plus credibility in the third. You're a builder who has created security capabilities and set direction, not just operated established programs. Strong cross-functional partnership skills are essential—security should enable the business to build and operate safely.
Nice-to-have experience includes consumer product at scale, AI/ML abuse or model-security exposure, and early/founding security hire background.
Compensation: $275,000–$395,000 annually. Benefits include equity, 401(k) with 3% match, medical/dental/vision, 11 paid holidays plus unlimited PTO, 16 weeks paid parental leave, creative education stipend, commuter allowance, and in-office lunch daily. Role requires onsite work at one of three offices.
