Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced software and autonomous systems. The Mission Software Engineering team builds, deploys, and integrates Anduril's software to deliver mission-critical capabilities to defense customers, including Counter Intrusion, Joint All Domain Command & Control, and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
As a Lead Mission Software Engineer on the Connected Warfare team, you will architect third-party system integrations with Anduril products while solving complex technical challenges. You'll set the bar for technical excellence that customers expect, operating with a pragmatic, expedient mindset focused on mission success and high-quality delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Champion Anduril capabilities within customer environments
- Develop architecture and mission vignettes for integrated systems
- Iterate on core data mesh technology for degraded network environments
- Build connectors and APIs enabling legacy and modern systems to integrate with Lattice OS
- Deploy software to non-standard operational environments
- Create data flow pipelines spanning distributed networked systems and security domains
You'll work closely with UK Ministry of Defence and other government agencies, supporting systems like Maritime Sentry Towers (MST), ALTIUS-600 autonomous aerial systems, and Seabed Sentry underwater surveillance platforms. The role requires managing and mentoring software engineers while maintaining hands-on technical leadership.
Required: 6+ years programming experience across multiple languages (Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript); 2+ years as technical lead or people manager; expertise in data processing and analysis; ability to navigate complex systems and codebases; customer-facing experience; willingness to travel to client sites; eligibility for SC Clearance.
