Relativity Space is building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. The Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting growing demand for launch capacity. The Stage Manufacturing team turns design into reality, owning the build of Terran R's primary structures through advanced manufacturing and testing systems.
As Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will manage a team of test engineers serving all major products within the Vehicle Integration and Test scope. Your responsibilities include designing and commissioning new test assets and systems to unlock new test capabilities while working closely with design and manufacturing partners. You will author and optimize test sequences, plans, procedures, and operational processes to support first-article development and transition into high-volume production.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and commission test assets and systems to enhance existing capabilities and enable scalable production testing
- Manage a team of test engineers with end-to-end problem ownership for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) development
- Author and optimize test sequences, plans, and procedures for first-article development and production transition
- Analyze assembly performance data and disposition recurring testing discrepancies
- Support multi-disciplinary root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
- Define and standardize operational requirements to improve safety, data quality, and test repeatability
- Provide hands-on shop floor support, rapidly addressing test issues and offering design feedback for manufacturability and testability
