Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to lead the manufacturing test organization. You will oversee a small team of engineers responsible for ensuring quality products across land, sea, and air platforms are tested to stringent military standards while meeting production throughput requirements. In this role, you will lead by example, coordinating projects to deliver production improvements and maintaining ownership of test activities across the manufacturing value stream—from system-level checkouts and acceptance testing to component-level in-process validation. You'll provide hands-on troubleshooting of complex electrical issues, improve and sustain existing test systems to enhance automation and consistency, and determine root causes of product failures with appropriate corrective actions. Key responsibilities include working with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams on customer returns and failure analysis, contributing feedback to early-stage test design for new products, analyzing test data to identify defects and improvement areas, and optimizing test strategies for efficiency without compromising quality. You will maintain and calibrate test equipment, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help scale production methods. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering; 8+ years of manufacturing test and product sustainment experience; 1+ years of leadership or cross-functional project management; demonstrated ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments; familiarity with Python and Linux; experience with electronics test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition); test automation experience; strong root cause analysis skills; and eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of relevant experience, a Master's degree in a related field, experience with contract manufacturers and PCBA testing standards, familiarity with LabVIEW or MATLAB, experience with PCBA and mechanical design, and knowledge of computer hardware communication protocols.
