Tripledot Games, a leading developer and publisher of casual and puzzle games, is seeking a Lead Level Designer to drive the creative vision, quality, and production processes of level design across its casual games portfolio. The studio operates from London, Warsaw, and Barcelona, and is responsible for top 10 titles including Woodoku, Woodoku Blast, Solitaire, and TripleTile. Known for its data-driven approach spanning the entire game lifecycle and machine learning puzzle generation, the studio is also one of the largest in-app advertising operators worldwide. In this hands-on leadership role, you will lead a small team of level designers, providing mentorship and feedback while balancing strategy, people management, and direct level creation work. You'll own the vision and quality of level design across one or more casual titles, driving the full level design process from concept to final polish. Key responsibilities include setting standards and best practices for level creation, playtesting, and iteration; partnering with art, product, and development teams to define feature requirements and tools; analyzing game data and feedback to inform decisions; promoting a culture of rapid prototyping and feedback-driven iteration; collaborating with tech artists and engineers to improve level design tools; and pushing creative boundaries while maintaining consistency with game tone, pacing, and difficulty curves. The role emphasizes a player-first philosophy, continuous improvement, and high-quality, scalable game design. You'll work within a diverse studio of 36+ nationalities focused on craftsmanship and outcomes. REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years of experience in level design, with at least 1 year in a lead or senior role - Strong expertise in casual game level design - Deep understanding of player psychology, pacing, challenge, and reward systems - Solid experience working with Unity and basic knowledge of Excel or other balancing tools - Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills - Experience mentoring or managing other designers (strong plus) - Comfortable using and helping evolve in-house level design tools and systems - Fluent in English (spoken and written)
