New Relic is seeking a FullStack Software Engineer to join the Monetization Adoption team in Bangalore. You will architect and execute end-to-end features spanning high-performance React-based interfaces and scalable Java/Python microservices. The role involves designing core data services that process millions of messages per second and handle petabytes of data across New Relic's distributed observability platform.
Key responsibilities include leading the design of complex features from frontend to backend, driving AI/LLM integration into the New Relic ecosystem including building and maintaining MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, and building highly available multi-threaded backend services handling massive data throughput. You will act as a technical force multiplier by leading system architecture discussions, conducting deep-dive code reviews, setting engineering standards, and mentoring junior and senior engineers through complex technical challenges.
You'll collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to translate complex data visualizations into intuitive, performant user experiences. This is a core platform role where you'll work on infrastructure that powers New Relic's suite of software analytics products used by the world's best companies.
Required: 8+ years professional software development with proven track record in a lead or staff capacity. Expert-level proficiency in React (or Angular) for frontend and Java or Python for backend, with deep knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency patterns, and asynchronous programming. Strong experience designing and scaling distributed architectures under high load, building secure RESTful APIs or GraphQL, and leading cross-functional projects. Familiarity with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or MCP server development is essential.
Nice-to-have: Experience with Go or high-concurrency languages, big data technologies (Kafka, ClickHouse, Spark), Kubernetes/Docker, modern CI/CD pipelines, or open-source contributions.
