This role leads the design and development of complex, high-performance backend systems using Golang. You will spearhead architecture decisions, define best practices for scalable and secure code, and mentor a team of backend engineers. Key responsibilities include designing distributed backend services, establishing system architecture standards, conducting code reviews, collaborating with product and architecture teams to align engineering with business goals, driving DevOps practices (CI/CD, observability, incident management), identifying and mitigating technical risks, and staying current with industry trends.
Required: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field; 12+ years software development experience with 5+ years hands-on Golang; proven track record building large-scale distributed systems; strong microservices, API design, and cloud-native expertise; Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure); relational and NoSQL database proficiency; deep systems design and performance optimization knowledge; strong cross-functional communication.
Preferred: experience leading geographically distributed teams; event-driven architecture knowledge (Kafka, RabbitMQ); observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry); open-source Golang contributions.
