Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team. In this role, you will own the electrical architecture and technical direction of an aircraft development program from early concept through fielded production, serving as the primary electrical point of contact across the program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own electrical architecture and technical roadmap for major subsystems or full vehicle platforms from concept through production
- Lead full-cycle PCB design efforts across multiple concurrent boards, including requirements definition, schematic design, component selection, layout oversight, bring-up, test, debug, and system integration
- Serve as technical lead for troubleshooting issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries
- Drive architecture and development of payloads and subsystems including sensors, payload interfaces, power management, and networking
- Define and own system interconnect diagrams and wire harness architecture at vehicle or subsystem level
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineering teams
- Operate and lead teams in fast-paced environment supporting new developments, customer-operated hardware, and rapid field iteration
- Lead and facilitate design reviews, holding final technical sign-off authority on electrical designs
- Own integration and testing strategy through TRLs 3-8, including risk identification and mitigation
- Lead vehicle platform system design and analysis, setting technical direction and standards
- Own requirements analysis, verification planning, and compliance strategy at program level
- Mentor and develop Electrical Engineers and Senior Electrical Engineers
- Partner with program management on scope, schedule, and resourcing decisions
- Represent electrical engineering in customer-facing technical discussions
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 8+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs with demonstrated ownership of full subsystems or platforms; proven track record leading electrical design from concept through fielded/production hardware; deep knowledge of analog and digital electronics; expert-level competence with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes); strong familiarity with standard interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB); familiarity with MCU, CPU, FPGA devices; familiarity with software development processes (git, Github, JIRA); advanced proficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred); demonstrated experience in signal integrity/power integrity design; experience with battery systems; extensive experience with high-reliability systems including redundancy and fault tolerance; experience with RF-based systems.
