Salary: USD 175,000 - 225,000 / annual

As Lead DevOps Engineer, you will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of DevOps processes and infrastructure while leading a team of DevOps engineers. You will collaborate closely with application developers, data engineers, SRE, security, and IT professionals to automate and streamline operations. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of systems and applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor a DevOps engineering team, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
- Prioritize workload with focus on increasing developer efficiency
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) for scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with SRE to develop monitoring and alerting systems
- Work with security teams to implement and enforce security best practices
- Optimize application performance and reliability with software developers
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Communicate with stakeholders on project status, issues, and recommendations
- Participate in on-call rotation for system support
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of DevOps experience, with 2+ years in a leadership position
- Expert knowledge of cloud concepts and services (EC2, S3, RDS, A/ELB, EBS, VPC, Route53 or equivalent)
- Expert-level Linux knowledge with strong scripting skills for automation and tooling
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve incidents and document root cause analysis
- Strong knowledge of database configuration, concepts, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Thorough understanding of security principles and experience designing, implementing, and monitoring controls
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools (Terraform, SaltStack or equivalent)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS) including microservices architectures
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or equivalent)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, CloudWatch or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to collaborate across teams
