Relativity Space is building the Terran R rocket to deliver payloads to orbit and advance commercial space launch. The Launch Integration Engineer I will support vehicle processing and checkouts at the Cape Canaveral launch site, working across all major systems from receiving through launch operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support vehicle processing and checkouts at the launch site, following established processes to ensure execution readiness and product quality across subassemblies and integrated systems
- Develop and update build flows, work instructions, and test procedures under guidance from experienced engineers to support consistent, high-quality execution
- Support first article builds in a fast-paced environment by identifying opportunities to improve repeatability, quality, and processes as the program scales toward higher launch rates
- Provide hands-on floor support during build and test activities, collaborating with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot issues, incorporate feedback, and drive continuous improvement
- Coordinate with design, supply chain, production, and test teams to support part readiness, tooling availability, schedule alignment, and effective handoffs between build stages
- Contribute to manufacturing systems and infrastructure improvements, including tooling, ERP/MES workflows, and production documentation standards
The Launch team operates at the intersection of every major aspect of Terran R, from stages and payloads to ground systems, landing, and refurbishment. This role offers exposure to the full integration of a commercial rocket program at a critical inflection point—from first flights to reuse and high-cadence operations.
