Relativity Space is building the Terran R rocket to deliver payloads to orbit and advance space exploration. The Launch Fluids Engineer I will join the launch operations team at Cape Canaveral, working at the intersection of all major aspects of the Terran R program—from stages and payloads to ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, fabrication, operation, and maintenance of the launch pad and support facilities for Terran R. Key responsibilities include:
• Design launch pad propellant and gas infrastructure, including fluid system design, modeling, pipe stress analysis, fabrication drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, component lists, and detailed work instructions
• Supervise construction, activation, commissioning, and initial operations of these facilities
• Solve technically challenging problems across multiple disciplines under varying programmatic pressures
• Collaborate across teams to shape decisions and see your work come to life in record time
The launch team operates at a unique vantage point where first flights happen and the scale of operations is unlike anything in modern aerospace. You'll have exposure and responsibility unmatched elsewhere in the program, with the opportunity to define what's next in space launch and write a new playbook rather than repeat existing processes.
