As a Kubernetes Engineer, you will build, operate, and continuously improve the container platforms powering applications, data platforms, and AI workloads. You'll work across cloud (Azure Kubernetes Service) and on-premises Kubernetes environments, collaborating with senior Cloud/DevOps Engineers and development teams to deliver reliable, secure, and automated infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building, operating, and maintaining Kubernetes environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure
- Deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps practices
- Supporting Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and surrounding Azure infrastructure
- Operating on-premises Kubernetes clusters, including networking, storage, ingress, certificates, upgrades, and maintenance
- Monitoring environments and proactively identifying performance, reliability, capacity, and availability issues
- Troubleshooting across container, Kubernetes, Linux, network, and infrastructure layers
- Building and improving CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications and infrastructure
- Automating operational tasks using Terraform, Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Implementing Kubernetes RBAC, secrets, network policies, and security controls
- Collaborating with Software, Data, and AI Engineers to containerize and deploy workloads
- Participating in production support, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis
- Contributing to documentation, runbooks, infrastructure modules, and Helm charts
- Gradually taking ownership of larger infrastructure components and initiatives
Required experience: 2–4 years in Kubernetes, DevOps, Cloud, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering with strong hands-on Kubernetes expertise. You should understand core Kubernetes concepts (Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, RBAC, storage, networking), Docker containerization, Linux systems, networking fundamentals, Helm, CI/CD/GitOps workflows, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor), and production troubleshooting. Experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly AKS, is required. Strong problem-solving skills and fluent English communication are essential.
Bonus qualifications include experience with on-premises/bare-metal Kubernetes, Kubernetes platforms (RKE2, Rancher, OpenShift, Talos), advanced GitOps tools, Kubernetes networking technologies, storage and CSI drivers, secrets/certificate management, GPU-enabled workloads, data/AI infrastructure, Kubernetes security tooling, and relevant certifications (CKA, CKAD, KCNA, Azure certifications).
