Catawiki is a curated online marketplace for special and collectible objects, hosting over 100,000 unique items weekly across 80+ categories. The company has sold over 25 million objects and operates with a mission to become the world's most popular destination for special objects. You will serve as a Key Business Developer for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), focused on building a strong pipeline of high-potential sellers for the Collectables business unit. Your primary responsibilities include identifying and engaging prospective sellers in categories such as Books, Coins, Toys, and Trading Cards, guiding them through onboarding, and nurturing relationships to drive sustainable revenue growth. Key responsibilities: - Identify, qualify, and develop leads through calls, emails, field visits, and fair participation, working collaboratively with in-house experts - Reactivate high-potential dormant sellers and qualify inbound leads using data and sales tools - Facilitate smooth pre- and post-sales experiences for new sellers - Build and nurture relationships to expand the Collectables seller network, learning category characteristics alongside experts - Identify and grow high-potential sellers, then hand off the best performers to Account Management teams for continued growth - Coordinate with Account Managers to develop growth plans for onboarded sellers Required qualifications: - Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets with a strong sales mindset - Successful networker with ability to establish and nurture relationships with sellers, manufacturers, and distributors - Strong negotiation and influencing skills - Proactive problem solver with data-driven decision-making approach - Genuine passion for online marketplaces or collecting, ideally with personal collector experience - Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and Austria - Proficiency with G Suite tools (Google Sheets, Slides, Gemini) - Sales CRM experience (HubSpot or equivalent) is a plus - Fluent in German and English The role is preferably based in Germany with work-from-home flexibility, though it can also be based in the Netherlands with regular field visits to the DACH region.
