Salary: EUR 2,700 - 3,990 / monthly
KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, is a leading global travel search engine serving billions of queries annually. You will join the Search team as a Java backend engineer, working on features that power KAYAK's world-leading search and booking technology. The role focuses on implementing new backend search and booking features, collaborating with senior engineers to improve existing functionality with emphasis on speed and user experience, and maintaining integrations with third-party travel APIs.
Required qualifications include a Computer Science degree or related field, 3+ years of Java experience, familiarity with Spring framework and SQL databases, and fluent English. The role requires hybrid work with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Kaunas office.
Bonus skills include exposure to Elasticsearch or similar search technologies. Compensation includes base pay of €2,700–€3,990 gross monthly, approximately 10% yearly bonus, and a Booking Holdings RSU package worth $20,000 USD gross with potential yearly refreshes.
