eleQtron is a deep-tech quantum computing company developing full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. We are seeking an IT Systems & Platform Engineer to join our IT team in Siegen, Germany.
In this hands-on role, you will support and operate our cloud infrastructure, engineering platforms, monitoring systems, development platforms, and secure access environments. You will work within a defined IT strategy and governance framework, taking ownership of operational execution and contributing technical expertise to build modern IT capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain cloud infrastructure, identity systems, and endpoint management platforms (Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot)
- Support engineering and development platforms including SolidWorks, 3DEXPERIENCE, CST Studio Suite, COMSOL, GitLab, CI/CD environments, and engineering license servers, ensuring reliability, security, and usability
- Support secure access technologies including Microsoft Global Secure Access, Zero Trust initiatives, and connectivity validation across internal and client environments
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and contribute to improving system reliability, visibility, and operational efficiency
- Maintain documentation, support disaster recovery readiness, and contribute to continuous improvement of the IT environment

Requirements:
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in IT, cloud, systems, or platform engineering
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Windows Autopilot
- Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, and routing basics)
- Experience with identity and access management concepts (MFA, SSO, Conditional Access)
- Basic scripting experience (PowerShell or Bash)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of operational tasks
- Strong documentation and organizational skills, with a structured, disciplined, and reliable approach to technical work
Nice to Have:
- Microsoft certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, SC-900, MD-102, SC-300)
- Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or CI/CD platforms
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Microsoft Sentinel, Grafana, or Prometheus
- Experience with Microsoft Global Secure Access or Zero Trust solutions
- Exposure to engineering or research environments
- Experience with infrastructure automation or Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery processes
