Salary: USD 142,000 - 162,000 / annual
Fin (part of Intercom) is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its IT team in San Francisco. You'll work on evolving IT infrastructure with a focus on deliverability, identity & access management, and compliance. This role bridges traditional systems engineering and modern cloud-native operations, leveraging SaaS-based solutions for business process and employee lifecycle automation.
Key responsibilities include identifying and solving automation and integration problems across the organization; designing, building, and owning efficient automations and integrations for identity management, endpoint management, security, compliance, and email deliverability; participating in high-impact cross-organizational infrastructure projects with emphasis on infrastructure-as-code; governing and promoting automation and AI adoption through enablement and education; driving adoption of bleeding-edge tools and being an early beta tester for new features; supporting IT incident response in concert with InfoSec and engineering teams; and leveraging AI tooling to drive automated, no-code infrastructure via platforms like Tines and Workato.
Required qualifications: 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer with strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making; proficiency in a high-level programming language (Ruby, Python, Perl, or similar); hands-on experience building and operating systems in cloud environments without traditional corporate network perimeters; and deep familiarity with AWS, Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf Pro, Intune, Tines, and Workato.
Nice-to-have: experience building robust, scalable integrations between billing systems and ERP platforms, preferably NetSuite.
