Infleqtion is a global quantum technology company developing quantum computers, sensors, and networks to solve complex problems. The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day operation, administration, and technical support of Infleqtion UK's corporate IT environment based at the Kidlington, Oxford office, with up to 2 days per week work-from-home flexibility. Key responsibilities include administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, and Intune; managing identity, access, and privileged-access administration; managing endpoint configuration, patching, and application deployment across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments; operating backup, monitoring, and recovery platforms; supporting system resilience, availability, and performance; and acting as technical escalation for complex incidents. The role involves supporting corporate networking, wireless, firewall, and connectivity services in collaboration with Platform Engineering; supporting virtualized and on-premises infrastructure; supporting vulnerability remediation and endpoint security; taking an active role in security monitoring and incident response; and contributing to the design and implementation of secure infrastructure services. The engineer will maintain technical documentation, support IT projects and technology deployments, and help transition services from managed service providers to internal delivery. Required experience includes 5+ years in systems administration or infrastructure engineering; strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Active Directory; experience with Intune or comparable endpoint-management platforms; knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux corporate environments; understanding of identity, access control, and least-privilege principles; strong networking knowledge (LAN, WAN, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, wireless, firewalls); experience with virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware); backup and recovery technologies; endpoint security and patch management; Microsoft Azure; and security monitoring or incident response. Familiarity with SIEM, EDR/XDR, or SOC tooling is advantageous. A relevant degree, technical qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent professional experience is required. Microsoft, networking, cloud, or cyber security certifications are beneficial but not essential. Up to 10% travel, including international, may be required.
