Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced technology, AI, and autonomy. The IT Systems team builds internal infrastructure and tools that keep engineers, operators, and back-office teams productive.
In this role, you'll design and build automations that eliminate repetitive IT Service Desk work—from account provisioning and access requests to troubleshooting flows. You'll apply AI (LLMs, agents, classification, summarization) where it delivers real efficiency gains. You'll also ship self-service tools that let employees resolve common IT requests independently, safely, and without waiting for human agents.
The work splits between two outcomes: increasing service desk agent efficiency through automations and integrations, and providing employee-facing self-service tools for common requests. You'll have wide latitude to design, build, and implement solutions that materially improve service quality and operational efficiency across the company.
Key responsibilities include designing and building automations for repetitive IT tasks, shipping self-service tools for internal customers, and building custom applications and automations that extend existing tools. You'll work autonomously, take ownership of complex projects, navigate ambiguity, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Required: 3+ years IT Engineering experience, proficiency with productivity/collaboration/design tools, programming language expertise (Python, Go, Rust, etc.), proven success developing end-user applications and workflow automations using REST APIs and Webhooks, ability to work autonomously on complex projects, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred: DevOps experience (CI/CD, deployment automation, production services), AI/LLM application to internal tooling or support workflows, security architecture/design review experience, enterprise-scale onboarding/offboarding automation, infrastructure-as-code familiarity (Terraform, AWS CDK).
