In this IT Systems Engineer role, you will focus on two primary outcomes: increasing service desk agent efficiency through automations, integrations, and AI-assisted workflows that handle routine tasks, and providing self-service automations to internal customers for common IT requests like access provisioning, lifecycle changes, and troubleshooting.
You will have significant latitude to design, build, and implement solutions that materially improve service quality and operational efficiency across the entire company. Your work will span designing and building automations for the IT Service Desk (account provisioning, access requests, troubleshooting flows) with AI applications where they deliver real efficiency gains; shipping self-service tools that enable internal customers to resolve common IT requests independently and safely; and building creative custom applications and automations that extend existing tools and applications.
This is an autonomous role where you'll take ownership of complex projects, navigate ambiguity, and work effectively across cross-functional teams. You'll leverage modern development practices, REST APIs, webhooks, and potentially infrastructure-as-code approaches to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in IT Engineering
- Experience managing productivity, collaboration, and design tools
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Go, or Rust
- Proven success developing end-user applications and workflow automations for continuous integration solutions using REST APIs and Webhooks
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex projects
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve user issues, and identify and solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- DevOps experience: CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operating production services
- Experience applying AI/LLMs to internal tooling, support workflows, or agent-assist use cases
- Experience conducting security architecture or design reviews around custom business applications
- Experience implementing onboarding and off-boarding automations for enterprise-scale environments
- Background supporting complex initiatives across applications
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code languages (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK) in production capacity
