Printify (part of FYUL, formed through merger of Printful, Printify, and Snow Commerce) is seeking a hands-on IT Systems Automation Engineering Manager to build and scale a newly formed IT Automation Engineering team. This role bridges software engineering, IT administration, and DevOps infrastructure, reporting to leadership within a global on-demand commerce platform.
You will lead a team of automation and software development engineers, defining technical architecture for internally built software, integrations, and automations. Key responsibilities include fostering an agile, collaborative culture centered on software best practices; architecting and maintaining automations, internal business applications, and integrations connecting IT platforms and business systems; applying DevOps/SRE practices to build automated environments for internally-developed and low-code applications; staying hands-on with design, code reviews, and technical contributions (up to 50% of time); ensuring clear priorities and predictable delivery; and partnering with business, security, and engineering teams on requirements and standards alignment.
Required qualifications: 7+ years engineering experience with 2+ years leading development or technical teams. Strong hands-on capability in Python or JavaScript (Node.js) for system automations, custom middleware, and dashboarding. Deep knowledge of SDLC, API architecture, Git, CI/CD orchestration, DevOps/SRE principles, IAM architecture (Least Privilege, RBAC, JIT), and enterprise federation standards (SCIM, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect). Proven experience with workflow engines (Zapier, Make, N8N) and modern IT infrastructure management (Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, MDM, Okta, Entra ID). Exposure to or strong interest in generative AI toolsets and LLM APIs.
