UserTesting, a leader in human insight and customer experience research, is seeking a Senior IT System Administrator with deep expertise in AI infrastructure and tooling. This is a hands-on individual contributor role sitting at the intersection of traditional enterprise IT administration and AI enablement, with an 80/20 split between AI infrastructure work and traditional systems administration.
Key responsibilities include:
AI Enablement & Infrastructure: Set up, configure, and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers connecting AI systems to internal tools and data sources. Enable and manage AI features within enterprise SaaS platforms (Atlassian Rovo, Slack AI, Okta AI, ChatGPT, Google Gemini). Provision and support AI agent infrastructure including service accounts, API key management, permissions scoping, and access auditing. Support deployment and lifecycle management of AI solutions with emphasis on project management and stakeholder communication. Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, access maps, and runbooks.
System Administration: Support administration of UserTesting's IT systems and SaaS toolset. Become a subject matter expert for AI-enabled platforms and integrations. Manage onboarding, offboarding, access management, and feature rollouts. Identify and address technical debt. Partner with other IT administrators to improve reliability and automation.
Collaboration: Act as escalation point for complex ITSM issues. Collaborate with Security, People Ops, and Engineering teams on process improvements and AI tool adoption. Train and mentor IT support staff.
Required qualifications: 5+ years enterprise IT systems administration experience. Hands-on experience with MCP server setup, AI agent deployment, and AI feature configuration in enterprise SaaS. Scripting proficiency in Python and/or Bash with Git and JSON/YAML knowledge. Familiarity with Docker containerization, API-based integrations, and IDP tools like Okta. Ability to work Monday-Friday in US Eastern or Central time zones. Comfortable learning in rapidly evolving AI environment.
