The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting and maintaining PowerX's information technology infrastructure to ensure efficient and secure operations. This role combines day-to-day technical support with strategic cloud administration and user enablement.
Key responsibilities include:
**Network & Cloud Management:** Administer and optimize the company's Microsoft 365 tenant and cloud-based infrastructures (AWS, Microsoft Azure). Oversee licensing, feature rollouts, and automate tasks using PowerShell or Graph API. Develop and maintain clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
**Tier 3 Support & Mentoring:** Serve as escalation point for complex issues, mentor the service desk team, and streamline joiner/mover/leaver workflows to reduce manual effort. Track M365 roadmap items, plan phased releases, and report KPI-driven insights to leadership.
**IT Administration:** Perform departmental administrative tasks including vendor and license management. Support software integration efforts and assist with security configurations.
**Hardware Support:** Troubleshoot and support PC and network hardware, including setup, maintenance, and minor repairs.
**Training Development:** Create and update interactive training materials, including instructional guides and videos, using basic image and video editing software (Loom, Scribe, Camtasia, etc.) to support user training and onboarding.
The role requires a customer service-oriented mindset, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong written and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across departments.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or Associate's degree in Network Administration and/or Computer Programming; or equivalent education/experience
- Minimum 5 years of related IT experience preferred
- Experience in all aspects of the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Extensive knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures, including AWS and Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency with PC and network hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Thorough technical knowledge of networks, personal computers, telephone systems, software integration, and cybersecurity
- Basic skills in image and video editing for training content creation
- Proficiency in sourcing and selecting computing hardware and software solutions
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation
- Experience with migration or integration project environments preferred
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Satisfactory background check required
