Salary: USD 70,000 - 110,000 / annual
Amca is a fast-growing aerospace and defense startup focused on restoring America's critical manufacturing capabilities. The company develops and manufactures components and subsystems for military aircraft, vehicles, and infrastructure, operating under Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements.
You will be the second IT professional at Amca's El Segundo headquarters, working alongside the Director of IT and an MSP partner. This is a hands-on role with direct ownership of day-to-day IT operations and significant growth potential in a small, high-impact function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end IT support at headquarters: intake, triage, resolution, and escalation for hardware, software, accounts, connectivity, and conference rooms
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle including onboarding/offboarding, account provisioning/deprovisioning, group and license assignment, and equipment management
- Deploy and manage Windows endpoints: imaging, enrollment, configuration, patching, refresh, and maintenance with accurate asset records
- Administer Microsoft 365 and endpoint tooling in a GCC High tenant, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, conditional access policies, and licensing
- Support core infrastructure: network connectivity, wireless, VPN, printing, backup verification, and physical IT in office and lab spaces
- Provide surge support for IT integrations and special projects at manufacturing facilities across the US
- Maintain security hygiene on the endpoint fleet
This role requires 5 days/week onsite presence in El Segundo and up to 20% travel to support factory integrations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration
- Hands-on administration of Windows endpoints and Microsoft 365 in production environments
- Working experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune, including device enrollment and policy
- Experience working tickets in a formal ticketing system
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments where processes are still being developed
- Excellent communication skills with non-technical colleagues, including shop floor and lab personnel
- Onsite availability five days per week in El Segundo, CA
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for factory support
- Must be a U.S. person per ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected person)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Microsoft 365 GCC High or other government cloud environments (GCC, Azure Government, AWS GovCloud)
- Experience supporting environments subject to CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or CUI handling requirements
- Manufacturing, industrial, or lab IT experience including shop-floor and test equipment
- Networking fundamentals: switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft MD-102, AZ-104
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
