Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company, solving identity and access challenges for infrastructure in an AI-driven world. As an IT Security and Automation Engineer, you'll work on a small, impactful team where your contributions directly influence the product. You'll balance hands-on IT operations with infrastructure automation and security engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building next-generation IT workflow automation tooling using Temporal and Go on Kubernetes
- Dogfooding Teleport's own products, specifically Identity and Policy modules
- Developing hardened security and automation for macOS endpoints
- Writing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, shell scripts, and Go
- Integrating with enterprise tools: Panther, Jamf Pro, Okta, Rippling, Google Chrome Enterprise
- Supporting internal customers with access management, troubleshooting, and configuration
The role spans traditional IT helpdesk support, systems engineering, and modern infrastructure automation. You'll work in a remote-first, globally distributed environment with an emphasis on code quality, thorough reviews, and collaborative design.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Programming experience in Go (Temporal experience is a bonus)
- Linux systems engineering and Kubernetes experience
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and shell scripting experience
- IT security and administration background
- Willingness to work across both traditional IT tasks and deep infrastructure engineering
NICE TO HAVE:
- Data warehousing concepts and platforms (AWS Redshift, Fivetran, DBT)
