Snorkel AI is seeking an IT Platform and Automation Engineer to architect and build internal infrastructure as a product. This is not a traditional helpdesk or break-fix role, but rather a position focused on automation, integration, and engineering excellence.
You will own the full stack of internal systems: identity and access management (Okta/Auth0), endpoint lifecycle management (Jamf/Intune), network engineering for hybrid workforce support, and custom integrations across the SaaS stack (Greenhouse, Notion, CRM). The role is heavily coding-focused—you'll spend the majority of your time writing Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripts to replace manual processes and low-code placeholders with production-grade automation.
Key responsibilities include: implementing and automating SSO, MFA, and SCIM provisioning; designing zero-touch device onboarding workflows; building API integrations to sync data between core business systems; architecting workflow orchestration to eliminate manual data entry; creating internal dashboards and Slack apps for self-service employee requests; automating security monitoring, patch management, and compliance reporting; and building centralized alerting pipelines that integrate EDR/SIEM tools.
You'll also have dedicated R&D time each sprint to experiment with AI/LLM integrations—connecting Claude or OpenAI APIs to internal tools like Slack and Notion to drive productivity gains. This is not a machine learning role; you won't build models or vector databases, but you will evaluate and implement AI connectors and prompt engineering pipelines.
The ideal candidate treats infrastructure like a product, prefers writing automation scripts over manual tasks, and gets excited about connecting disparate systems via APIs and custom workflows. You'll be the connective tissue between office networks, collaboration services, security stack, and core business systems.
