- Manage access and permissions: process requests, maintain SSO and Google Groups, ensure least-privilege access and auditability
- Run IT onboarding and offboarding: ensure new hires are ready day one; ensure departures are fully revoked across all tools with proper evidence
- Own the laptop fleet: maintain Rippling MDM and Apple Business Manager (security settings, app deployments, OS updates), troubleshoot device issues, handle wipes and buybacks
- Serve as internal helpdesk: first-line support for teammates on technical issues
- Support security and compliance: SOC 2 evidence, access reviews, device compliance, vendor inventory in Drata, yearly IT policy reviews
- Build automations: create workflows and AI-driven solutions that turn recurring requests into self-serve experiences
Recent project examples: MDM pipeline overhaul to ensure all devices ship with security software; self-serve Slack workflows for access requests; automated employee offboarding checklists with audit evidence generation.
The company uses Rippling (HRIS & MDM), Apple Business Management, CrowdStrike, Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and gaiia's Workflow Builder.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of IT administration or IT operations experience, ideally in a remote-first SaaS company
- Automation capabilities are essential: hands-on experience building workflows with Zapier, n8n, Slack Workflow Builder, Retool, or similar; comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and light scripting
- Hands-on experience with macOS device management (Rippling, Jamf, Kandji, or similar) and Apple Business Manager
- Strong admin experience with Google Workspace (SSO/SAML, groups), Slack, Notion, and password managers
- Very familiar with AI: daily AI tool usage; ability to set up MCPs, build AI skills and workflows
- Security-first mindset and professionalism appropriate for high-trust admin access
- Service-oriented and collaborative personality with clear, patient communication for technical and non-technical teammates
- Ownership mentality: bring order to fuzzy problems and document what you build
Nice-to-haves: cybersecurity experience, compliance frameworks and tooling (SOC 2, ISO 27001, Drata, Vanta), software QA experience, software development experience.
