As an IT Engineer II in the Security & IT Operations Team, you will own the management of employee devices and key business applications. You will administer the fleet of corporate laptops (macOS and Windows) using Mobile Device Management platforms, manage core business SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and Okta, and proactively identify and automate repetitive IT operational tasks. You will serve as the escalation point for the Level 1 support team, diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining runbooks for troubleshooting support requests, providing training to Level 1 support technicians, and assisting in gathering evidence and generating reports for internal and external audits.
You will collaborate closely with security engineers to safeguard critical systems and devices, and work regularly with HR, Operations, and tier 1 support technicians to enable Cover Genius employees throughout their employment lifecycle. Your work will be crucial in providing a seamless and secure technology experience for all employees.
Cover Genius operates a hybrid work environment with teams working from home on Wednesdays and Thursdays, attending the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, with flexibility around start and finish times.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years of experience in an IT Analyst or Systems Administrator role
- Demonstrated experience administering major Identity Providers (e.g., Okta, Entra) and SaaS productivity suites (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365)
- Hands-on experience managing and securing corporate endpoints using modern Mobile Device Management platforms like Microsoft Intune and Kandji
- Deep troubleshooting knowledge of modern operating systems (macOS, Windows 11) within a managed corporate environment
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate repetitive IT administration tasks, generate reports, or integrate systems via APIs
- Practical understanding of modern corporate networking principles, including Wi-Fi, VPN clients, DNS, DHCP, and Zero Trust network architecture concepts
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools like Terraform is desirable
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail for security incident analysis and system configuration
- Proactive security focus with genuine curiosity and self-driven motivation to stay current with cybersecurity landscape
- Clear communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical peers and non-technical employees
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to prioritize competing tasks in a dynamic environment
