Virta Health is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to support its rapidly growing distributed team of 1,000+ US employees. Reporting to the Director of IT, you will lead technically complex projects with emphasis on workflow automation and operational efficiency.
You will partner with Systems Administrators, Engineering, and InfoSec teams to operate critical systems and execute key IT initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in Okta Workflows, a passion for automation, and the ability to build scalable IT solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include: managing the Mac fleet and Zero-Touch device provisioning using Jamf and Okta; administering and scaling Single Sign-On (SSO) environments; implementing Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions; architecting and deploying IAM workflows to automate cross-departmental processes; developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) strategies for back-office operations; collaborating on Zero Trust security architecture; ensuring compliance with SOC2, HIPAA, and HITRUST standards; managing API key issuance and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) protocols; and serving as Tier 2 support with on-call rotation (approximately 20% nights/weekends).
Within 90 days, you will flesh out the Device Trust implementation project plan, implement or improve at least one automation workflow, and evaluate the Mac fleet's Zero-Touch provisioning for optimization opportunities.
Required qualifications: 3+ years in Systems Administration, IT Engineering, or senior IT Support roles in high-growth environments; solid understanding of IT security fundamentals and Zero Trust concepts; hands-on experience with Okta SSO configuration, user lifecycle management, and Workflows; enterprise Mac endpoint and macOS administration experience (Jamf preferred); and demonstrated success designing and implementing AI-enabled workflows that address team bottlenecks.
