Salary: USD 123,000 - 172,000 / annual
1Password is seeking an Intermediate Developer to join the Everyday Experience team, which owns the core surfaces and workflows that shape how customers interact with 1Password daily. The team focuses on reliability, usability, and trust across product experiences, sitting at the intersection of product quality, cross-platform foundations, and customer-facing execution.
You will own complex systems work end-to-end, from design through delivery and production support. The role spans product surfaces, backend services, CI/CD, reliability, and operational workflows. You'll work collaboratively across Product, Design, Security, Browser, Backend, and Infrastructure teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing new features, improvements, and bug fixes across team codebases
- Participating in the complete feature lifecycle: planning, development, release, and customer support
- Developing high-quality, maintainable code with strong testing strategies (unit and integration tests)
- Planning solutions ahead of coding, recognizing and reusing existing patterns and best practices
- Submitting well-documented merge requests and participating in RFC/RFD reviews
- Empowering customer support teams to better serve customers and addressing high-priority feedback
- Active participation in team organization: refinement, prioritization, and estimation
- Identifying and tackling improvement opportunities in repo cleanup, tooling, and IDE integration
Required qualifications:
- Strong Rust expertise
- Ability to ramp quickly into complex codebases and ambiguous problem spaces
- Strong technical judgment and pragmatic tradeoffs across quality, speed, reliability, and maintainability
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and ability to validate/review AI-assisted work in production systems
Bonus experience: Go backend services, AWS cloud infrastructure.
