Salary: USD 172,000 - 216,000 / annual
Archer Technologies is an aerospace company building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft designed to carry four passengers with minimal noise. As Integration and Verification Engineer for the Turbogenerator, you will own the end-to-end verification of a hybrid powertrain system combining turboshaft/turbogenerator technology with batteries, motors, and complex mechanical subsystems.
Your core responsibilities include: leading integrated hybrid powertrain verification from systems engineering inputs through full validation; owning turbogenerator verification on test benches and in-aircraft through the flight test campaign; contributing expert test and operational knowledge to design reviews; managing suppliers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time verification execution; and coordinating third-party deliverables.
You will work at the intersection of turbine systems, electrical powertrains, and aerospace certification, translating complex technical requirements into rigorous test protocols. This role demands systematic problem-solving, strong communication of technical rationale to multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to operate independently under tight deadlines.
Required qualifications: BS/MS/PhD in engineering or related scientific field; 10+ years in complex system verification; demonstrated systems engineering fundamentals; industry-standard knowledge of turbine and/or electrical systems; and proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical initiatives simultaneously.
Desirable experience includes hybrid-electric aircraft or eVTOL programs, turboshaft/turbogenerator systems, FAA/EASA certification familiarity, and simulation model validation expertise. This is a high-impact role on a mission-critical program for sustainable aviation.
