Rocket Lab is seeking an Integrated Operations Engineer II to join the team responsible for Electron launch vehicle and Photon spacecraft testing and operations. This intermediate-level role spans the full mission lifecycle: stack testing, pre-launch processing, launch operations, on-orbit operations, and mission disposal. You will work across multiple facilities including propulsion test centers (MTC, PTC), the Auckland Mission Control Centre (MCC), LC-1 (Mahia, NZ), LC-2 (Wallops Island, VA), and other designated locations. The role combines remote and on-site work depending on mission phase and operational needs. Key responsibilities include: - Prepare for and conduct testing, pre-launch operations, and launch operations - Define test and operations requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams - Develop, coordinate, and execute plans and procedures to safely and efficiently conduct testing, operations, and flight - Conduct on-console test and operations while maintaining situational awareness and real-time communications - Contribute to Integrated Operations projects and process/tool development efforts - Take accountability for key elements of assigned projects - Function independently in one or more operational roles The Engineer II is an intermediate role requiring a working understanding of various disciplines related to testing and operations. You will be skilled in one or more operational roles and capable of functioning independently during testing and operations activities. This is a hands-on position for someone who wants to be at the forefront of launching and managing advanced space vehicles.
