Roboflow is building the tools and community to make the world programmable with artificial intelligence, focusing on computer vision models. Over 1M+ developers, including those from Fortune 100 companies, use Roboflow's open-source and hosted tools for applications ranging from cancer research to construction site safety to drone guidance. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be at the core of a fast-paced startup, balancing rapid delivery, high reliability, and robust security. You'll secure, scale, and maintain the infrastructure powering Roboflow's product, including cloud architecture, databases, file storage, search clusters, microservices, and ML pipelines. This is a multi-faceted role requiring you to wear many hats—infrastructure engineer, developer, and security analyst—working closely with product teams and collaborating across the company on product, operations, and customer-facing projects. Key responsibilities include: running and optimizing high-availability ML inference services; collaborating with customer security teams on secure integration; developing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for cost-effective scaling; defining SLOs/SLAs and participating in incident response; improving observability and alerting; identifying cost-optimization opportunities; contributing code (Python, JavaScript) to product features; fixing security vulnerabilities; and hardening systems to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR requirements. Required skills: production Kubernetes experience; Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, bash, Python); scale and site reliability in AWS/GCP; proficiency in Node.js and Python; ML/Big Data Ops experience with GPUs, Docker, Kubernetes, PyTorch, or TensorFlow; CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, Spacelift); pragmatic cloud security practices; and AI-native engineering using LLMs to accelerate development. The ideal candidate is curious, hands-on with emerging tech, owns outcomes, and has a track record of continuous improvement. Prior experience with Roboflow tools or contributions to open-source devtool/security projects are highly valued.
