RoadSync is a fintech platform revolutionizing logistics with intelligent financial solutions for warehouses, carriers, brokers, and repair/tow operators. The company is growing its engineering team and seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to own the AWS cloud footprint and development experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage RoadSync's AWS infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/AWS CDK), ensuring all infrastructure is defined as code rather than manually configured
- Design and maintain the local development experience, including dev containers and Docker Compose setups that mirror production closely and scale reliably
- Architect and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including runner management, build optimization, caching strategies, and cost efficiency
- Improve monitoring and alerting systems to provide actionable insights rather than noise, reducing alert fatigue
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) throughout the development lifecycle for code review, refactoring, test generation, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2 and PCI DSS frameworks, managing audit documentation and evidence gathering
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive production-grade AWS experience with compute, networking, and data storage services
- Strong Docker expertise including multi-stage builds, layer caching, and image optimization
- Fluency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or AWS CDK) with experience scaling across multiple environments
- Substantial CI/CD pipeline architecture and maintenance experience (GitLab preferred, but Jenkins/CircleCI/GitHub Actions experience valued)
- Hands-on experience with SOC 2 or PCI DSS compliance frameworks
- Experience with compliance platforms like Vanta
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use AI-assisted coding tools with well-developed opinions on workflows
- API development experience with Golang, Python, or similar languages
- Relational database and transactional software development experience
- Serverless systems development with AWS services (API Gateway, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Cognito)
- Understanding of system design principles (loose coupling, separation of concerns, scalable architecture)
- US citizenship or existing work visa
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on Claude Code experience for development workflows
- Payments, fintech, or regulated industry experience
- Logistics industry background
- Automation experience for vulnerability/penetration testing
