OLIX is building the Decode Accelerator 1 (DX-1), a specialized hardware accelerator architected for AI inference decode workloads. The company is addressing a critical infrastructure gap in AI compute—the industry's existing hardware blueprints have reached their limits, and OLIX is designing a fundamentally new paradigm for faster, more efficient performance at rack scale.
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will own the internal platform that powers OLIX's hardware, software, and compiler engineering teams. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role where you'll design and operate the complete infrastructure stack from the ground up, including Kubernetes and bare-metal systems, CI/CD pipelines, networking, storage, security, and observability.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design, provision, and operate Kubernetes and bare-metal infrastructure for development, simulation, and testing workloads
• Build infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and provisioning automation to make environments reproducible, version-controlled, and fast to deploy
• Develop CI/CD systems and internal tooling that enable hardware and ML engineers to ship without friction
• Optimize networking (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, low-latency fabrics) and storage for the throughput and latency demands of ML and hardware simulation
• Implement monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and drive availability across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
• Own platform security: IAM, secrets management, data protection, and threat detection across self-hosted and cloud infrastructure
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, manual processes, and reliability gaps that slow the engineering team
You'll work closely with hardware engineers, ML researchers, and compiler teams to understand their infrastructure needs and translate them into fast, secure, reproducible systems.
Required experience: 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE engineering with a track record of owning systems end-to-end. Strong hands-on skills in Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash. Solid networking fundamentals and experience operating hybrid cloud and bare-metal environments. Strong grasp of infrastructure security (IAM, secrets, network hardening). Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
