Cloudflare is seeking an Infrastructure Business Operations Associate to join the Strategy & Data and Analytics team within the Infrastructure Strategy department. This role focuses on turning complex infrastructure questions into clear analyses, recommendations, and repeatable operating processes.
You will work directly with Cloudflare's Infrastructure Strategy organization on capacity and supply planning, infrastructure budgets, procurement, deployment, product and deal economics, and cost management. Your responsibilities will include:
• Building and maintaining analyses for infrastructure budgets, forecasts, actuals, commitments, and variances
• Supporting capacity, supply, and investment decisions with scenario models, unit economics, sensitivity analysis, and clear trade-offs
• Analyzing product and deal economics, including cost-to-serve, pricing scenarios, contribution margin, and operational drivers behind profitability
• Partnering with Product, Finance, and commercial teams to evaluate strategic opportunities and explain how demand, architecture, hardware, capacity, and contract assumptions affect deal margins
• Tracking major investments from demand and approval through procurement, manufacturing, deployment, and invoicing; identifying gaps, risks, and required follow-ups
• Turning ambiguous stakeholder questions into structured workplans, gathering evidence across systems and teams, and developing decision-ready recommendations
• Preparing concise executive materials, operating reviews, and written updates
• Partnering with Finance, Supply Planning, Engineering, Procurement, and operations teams to reconcile data and clarify ownership
• Improving recurring workflows using spreadsheets, SQL, AI tools, lightweight automation, and clear documentation
You will be successful if you bring a structured approach while remaining practical and hands-on. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, reconciling imperfect data, asking thoughtful questions, and communicating concise answers. Infrastructure expertise is not required; curiosity, sound judgment, attention to detail, and willingness to learn quickly matter more.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Approximately 2–4 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, strategic finance, analytics, supply chain, or another quantitatively rigorous role
• Strong structured problem-solving skills: ability to break unclear questions into testable components, identify important drivers, and synthesize practical answers
• Experience with, or strong interest in, product economics, deal modeling, cost allocation, pricing, or margin analysis
• Comfort working with quantitative data in spreadsheets; experience with SQL, data visualization, or financial and operational modeling is helpful, or strong motivation to learn
• Clear written and verbal communication, including ability to turn detailed analysis into concise materials for executive audiences
• Strong project-management habits, attention to detail, and persistence to follow issues across multiple teams and systems to resolution
• Curiosity about internet infrastructure, hardware, AI infrastructure, capacity planning, and economics; prior infrastructure experience welcome but not required
• Practical approach to AI and automation: using tools to move faster while validating outputs and maintaining sound judgment
BONUS: Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or other analytics databases.
