Keyfactor is seeking an Information Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure supporting the company's trust infrastructure platform for AI and machines. This mid-level role focuses on securing cryptographic identities and digital interactions for enterprise and government clients.
Key responsibilities include evaluating security posture across systems, platforms, and cloud environments; establishing security baselines and driving hardening efforts to close gaps. You will develop proficiency in SIEM, EDR, and emerging security platforms, configuring and integrating them with SaaS applications and diverse data sources to expand visibility and detection coverage.
The role involves managing continuous monitoring processes to ensure compliance with ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type II, and preferred government standards (FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, CMMC). You will evaluate and optimize security playbooks, runbooks, and processes based on lessons learned and evolving threats. Responsibilities also include conducting vulnerability assessments, system audits, and risk analysis using industry-standard scanning tools; actively monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents; and performing investigations with corrective action recommendations.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in information security; proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Burpsuite, Tenable); strong knowledge of security standards; demonstrated experience in continuous monitoring, network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred: relevant certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CAP); cloud security principles; security automation tools; PKI knowledge; scripting languages (Python, PowerShell); experience with government-regulated environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
