ClickHouse, a Forbes Cloud 100 company and leader in real-time analytics and data warehousing, is seeking an experienced Incident Response Security Engineer to join its Security Team. The role focuses on developing processes, tooling, and automation to scale incident management and detection capabilities across the platform. You will collaborate with security, engineering, product, support, and business operations teams to identify detection use cases and implement automation. Key responsibilities include maintaining the security logging platform, applying threat modeling approaches to incident detection and response, handling information security events across ClickHouse products and services, and staying current with emerging threats and attack vectors to improve detection mechanisms. The ideal candidate brings a background in product security, red teaming, penetration testing, or threat modeling, combined with hands-on incident detection and response experience. You should have strong knowledge of cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience securing large-scale customer-facing cloud infrastructures. Significant development and automation experience is required, with preference for Golang and Python. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for cross-functional collaboration. Bonus qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or related field, contributions to open source projects, and relevant security or cloud certifications. ClickHouse operates in over 20 countries with a globally distributed, remote-friendly workforce. The company has achieved 250% year-over-year ARR growth and recently closed a $400M Series D round, with customers including Meta, Tesla, Sony, and Capital One.
