Salary: USD 169,150 - 225,000 / annual
ClickHouse, a Forbes Cloud 100 company and leader in real-time analytics and data warehousing, is seeking an experienced Incident Response Security Engineer to join its Security Team. The role focuses on developing processes, tooling, and automation to scale incident management and detection capabilities across the platform.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining security logging platforms, collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams to identify detection use cases, and applying threat modeling approaches to incident detection and response. Key responsibilities include handling information security events and incidents across ClickHouse products and services, staying current with emerging threats and attack vectors, and improving detection mechanisms and attack surface management.
The ideal candidate brings a background in product security, red teaming, penetration testing, or threat modeling, combined with hands-on incident detection and response experience. You should have strong knowledge of cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), significant development and automation experience (preferably Golang and Python), and experience securing large-scale customer-facing cloud infrastructures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Bonus qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or related field, contributions to open source projects, and relevant security or cloud certifications. ClickHouse operates as a globally distributed, remote-friendly company with over 4,000 customers and 250%+ YoY ARR growth, recently validated by a $400M Series D round. Customers include Meta, Tesla, Sony, Capital One, and Airwallex.
