Rohlik is launching a brand-new, highly automated fulfillment center and seeking an Inbound Operations Manager to lead the inbound shift from day one. This is a rare opportunity to join at the site's inception, shape processes from scratch, and establish operational standards without inheriting legacy systems.
In this role, you will lead the inbound shift and manage a team of Area Managers to drive high performance across safety, quality, and productivity. Key responsibilities include:
- Own inbound operations: Drive receiving, put-away, and stock availability performance while ensuring safety compliance and effective labor management.
- Lead and develop your team of Area Managers: Coach, mentor, and scale your team to ensure optimal staffing, skills, and readiness.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Automation, OpEx, HR, IT, and Transport teams to solve live challenges and align resources.
- Performance monitoring: Track inbound KPIs, conduct root-cause analyses, and champion a continuous improvement culture.
- Process implementation: Support the rollout of new processes, tools, and automated systems across receiving and inbound operations.
- Standardization and compliance: Drive standardization, safety compliance, and best-practice adoption in the new operational environment.
- Operational support: Provide hands-on problem-solving during peak periods, weekends, and holidays.
- Culture building: Establish an environment with stronger standards, better processes, and an engaging, high-energy culture from day one.
- Shift leadership: Drive your shift to successful outcomes and help teams adopt new ways of working smoothly and consistently.
What makes this role compelling: You'll join at the launch of a new facility with real influence from day one. Rather than maintaining existing processes, you'll help build and shape inbound operations from the ground up. You'll work at the intersection of leadership, automation, receiving/put-away performance, and continuous improvement in a startup-energy environment with visible impact and scaling potential.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in inbound, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing management
- Proven track record of managing teams of 50+ people in fast-paced environments
- Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making and problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- High school leaving exam (Abitur/Matura) or higher education
- Proficiency in English and at least conversational-level Czech
- Availability to work regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Nice to have:
- University degree or MBA in a related field
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with WMS tools and high-volume automated receiving/inbound operations
