Nabis is the #1 licensed cannabis wholesale platform, supplying $1B+ annually to retailers across California, New York, and Nevada. Backed by Y Combinator and investors including DoorDash co-founder Stanley Tang and Gmail creator Paul Buchheit, the company is building a technology-first platform to scale the cannabis supply chain.
The Operations Manager reports to the General Manager and oversees all fulfillment operations for a regional warehouse hub. You will lead a team of 30+ associates, managing daily order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and SLA compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and willingness to engage in manual work during peak periods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment across all client contracts
- Managing team performance, providing coaching and training to supervisors and associates
- Monitoring adherence to standard operating procedures and fulfillment KPIs
- Forecasting staffing needs and managing schedules
- Tracking critical metrics: time & attendance, performance/churn, training/succession, fulfillment accuracy (mispack rates), units per hour, overtime, and timesheet management
- Communicating across departments and with external partners to resolve disruptions
- Connecting local KPIs to company-wide OKRs and individual performance goals
The shift is 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM. You'll work in a high-pressure, fast-moving startup environment with evolving requirements and tight deadlines. Success requires exceptional organization, process discipline, strong communication, and the ability to lead through influence and coaching.
Required qualifications: 2+ years warehouse/logistics experience, 2+ years managing teams of 30+, proficiency with MS Office and business software (ERP, CRM), superior time management, high emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
