Marloo is an AI-powered platform built for Australian financial advisers and their practices, backed by Blackbird Ventures. The company addresses a critical gap in financial advice accessibility by reducing administrative burden on advisers so they can serve more clients. This Paraplanning Specialist role sits at the intersection of customer implementation and product development. You will own how client firms' Marloo environments are configured and maintained, ensuring their advice documents are complete, compliant, and well-structured. The role operates at two levels: **Customer-Facing Work:** You will implement newly signed practices from empty environment to live production, building and configuring document templates and firm-specific knowledge (approved language, house positions, preferences). You'll resolve customer tickets by diagnosing whether issues stem from templates, knowledge configuration, product behavior, or input data. You'll train advisers, paraplanners, and admin teams on best-practice template structure and maintenance. **Product-Facing Work:** You'll identify patterns across customer issues and determine which fixes should be standardized templates, reusable structures, or product improvements. You'll feed actionable insights to product and engineering teams, turning repeat problems into scalable solutions that prevent issues for future customers. Day-to-day, you'll work with customer success, customer support, product, and engineering teams. You'll also attend industry events and conduct occasional on-site work with clients. The role requires someone who is proactive, meticulous, and comfortable with high autonomy and ambiguity. You'll need to hold two very different conversations: precise technical discussions with internal teams about what output must do, and clear, non-condescending explanations with external stakeholders about why templates are built a certain way. **Requirements:** - Advice industry experience required. Ideal backgrounds include: paraplanning (document creation and template management), financial advisory (understanding client conversations and file requirements), or compliance (knowledge of regulatory requirements and document completeness). - Strong understanding of Australian advice strategies: superannuation, tax, investments, insurance, and SMSFs. - Meticulous attention to detail; templates that are "nearly right" produce hundreds of documents that are nearly right. - Driven and proactive; the role has large surface area and minimal hand-holding. - Comfortable holding technical conversations with engineers and product teams, and client-facing conversations with advisers and paraplanners. - Curious about tooling and systems; no technical background required, but you should want to understand why output changed, not just that it did. - Comfortable with ambiguity; the product and implementation approach evolve quickly. - Full working rights in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available.
