Marloo is an AI-powered platform built for Australian financial advisers and their practices, backed by Blackbird Ventures. This Implementation Specialist role sits within the Australia GTM team and reports to the Head of Growth.
The core mission: financial advice in Australia is rationed because advisers spend too much time on administrative work (templates, document production, compliance review) instead of client-facing work. Marloo solves this by automating advice document generation. You will be the expert who ensures that each client firm's Marloo environment is configured correctly so their documents come out compliant, complete, and ready to use.
You will own two interconnected streams of work:
**Reactive work:** Customers raise tickets when templates or outputs don't behave as expected. You interpret what they're actually describing, diagnose whether the issue lies in the template, company knowledge configuration, data input, or the product itself, and fix what you can. Your advice background is critical here—you'll read a complaint about a missing risk disclosure and immediately know which section of the template broke.
**Proactive work:** You get ahead of problems. You train firms on best-practice template design, run sessions with their paraplanners and advisers, and turn patterns you spot across the customer base into reusable standards, starter templates, and guidance that prevent the same issue recurring.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Building and editing document templates from scratch and repairing existing ones
- Configuring firm-specific company knowledge (approved language, house positions, process preferences)
- Implementing and onboarding newly signed firms from empty environment to live production
- Resolving template support tickets with root-cause diagnosis
- Running training sessions on template best practices with adviser, paraplanner, and admin teams
- Identifying patterns in repeat issues and scaling solutions into documented standards and reusable structures
- Feeding insights back to product and engineering teams with actionable detail
- Occasional domestic travel for on-site work, conferences, and industry events
You will work cross-functionally with customer success, customer support, product, engineering, and go-to-market teams. You are the person in the building who knows what the output must look like and why.
**Requirements:**
- Advice industry experience, specifically as a paraplanner, ex-adviser, or compliance officer
- Strong understanding of advice strategies: superannuation, tax, investments, insurance, SMSF
- Meticulous attention to detail; this is detail work with real consequences
- Ability to hold two very different conversations: technical (specifying precisely what output must do and why current behavior falls short) and stakeholder-facing (explaining and training advisers, paraplanners, licensee leadership without condescension)
- Driven and proactive; large surface area with little hand-holding—the proactive half only happens if you make it happen
- Curious about tooling and systems; no technical background required, but you should want to understand why output changed, not just that it did
- Comfortable with ambiguity; the product moves fast and what you build in month one may be rebuilt in month four
- Full working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship not available)
