Cascade AI is seeking an Implementation Engineer to own the full customer lifecycle from kickoff through production deployment. You will be the bridge between product and customer, responsible for scoping, integrating, configuring, and launching Cascade AI solutions in customer environments. This is a build-heavy role where you write production code, integrations, and custom configurations to make implementations succeed.
You'll work directly with customer teams to understand their systems, constraints, and business goals, then translate those requirements into working deployments. You'll debug and resolve issues in production environments, feeding recurring problems back to the product and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement. A key part of this role is joining late-stage sales calls to present real customer implementations to prospects—walking through what was built, the outcomes achieved, and how it maps to their specific situation.
You'll also build reusable tooling, templates, and playbooks to accelerate future implementations and establish best practices. This is not a pre-sales support function; it's an engineer who carries the technical story into the sales room with credibility earned from hands-on delivery.
The ideal candidate has strong engineering fundamentals and can build and ship production integrations independently. You're comfortable running technical conversations with customers and prospects, and you thrive in ambiguous situations where you can drive messy customer environments toward working outcomes. You're a clear communicator who can explain technical work to non-technical stakeholders and tell compelling customer success stories. Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, implementation engineer, or early-stage startup hire is valued. Experience with HR, benefits, payroll, or HRIS system integrations is a plus.
