Salary: USD 130,000 - 175,000 / annual
Adyen is seeking an Implementation Engineer to manage new implementations and enhancements for its growing merchant portfolio. You will work with Adyen's largest merchants globally to solution, consult, troubleshoot, implement, and launch scalable technical integrations across diverse payment solutions including Point of Sale (POS) systems, e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and card issuing programs.
In this role, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for merchant teams, guiding them through design, development, testing, and launch phases of their integrations with Adyen's platform. You will leverage development and programming expertise to create robust solutions while ensuring adherence to payment best practices. Your responsibilities include:
- Utilize technical expertise to architect scalable merchant integrations
- Serve as a consultative partner in verticals such as e-commerce and point of sale, guiding merchants through integration processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Managers, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver seamless experiences
- Oversee high-quality project delivery, ensuring technical integrity of integrations
- Provide consultation on optimizing payment solutions including checkout experiences, authentication, omni-channel payments, and platform onboarding
You bring 4+ years of experience integrating with and providing technical consultation on Web APIs. You understand distributed systems, database design, and systems architecture. You excel at quickly learning new technologies and translating complex technical concepts for stakeholders. Strong communication skills and comfort leading meetings with high-level decision makers are essential. You are empathetic to customer needs, pragmatic in problem-solving, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
