Cloudflare is seeking an IAM Security Engineer to design, implement, and scale identity and access management solutions across the organization's internal workforce and workloads. The role focuses on safeguarding systems, applications, and data through secure user access, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
Key responsibilities include designing and deploying IAM solutions across authentication, authorization, and accounting; building SSO integrations using SAML, OIDC, OAuth, and SCIM; managing Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms; developing automated role-based and attribute-based access controls (RBAC/ABAC); implementing and managing Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems; and building access certification platforms. The engineer will also provide operational support for IAM systems, including on-call rotation coverage.
Required experience includes 5-10 years in identity federation technologies, hands-on implementation of IGA solutions with lifecycle management and access certifications, and production-grade automation scripting. Desired skills encompass advanced scripting (Python, TypeScript, Bash), Kubernetes and containerized platform security, Zero Trust controls, infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible), and experience with Identity Threat Detection & Response (ITDR). The role requires demonstrated ability to leverage AI/LLMs for solving operational and technical challenges.
